Gross Collection Rate
Total payments divided by total charges - a rough measure heavily influenced by how charges are set.
Because billed charges are often much higher than contracted rates, gross collection rate is less meaningful than net collection rate for judging performance. It's still tracked for trend.
Use it alongside, not instead of, net collection rate.
