HCPCS Code
A code set used mainly for products, supplies and services not covered by CPT - such as drugs, durable medical equipment and some procedures.
HCPCS Level II codes complement CPT, especially for Medicare and Medicaid billing. Using the right HCPCS code (and any required modifier) is essential for these items to pay.
Often needed alongside CPT on the same claim.
